Book Review: D&D 5e Monster Manual
Yes, I actually read the entire Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual (5th Edition). And love it!
Excellent reference, imo not just for gamers/Dungeon Masters but also for fantasy writers and artists. The book includes a lot of worldbuilding lore in addition to stat blocks, all of which give great plot and quest ideas in addition to well-balanced foes. The artwork is absolutely amazing, with a picture for every monster and variant. Fantastic edition.
